HELP

Has anyone had problems with United Health Care insurance when it came to paying for lap band surgery?????? I am pre-op. The only thing that is stopping me from surgery is my insurance.

Did you contact your carrier and ask them if it is covered? For many insurance companies the band is not covered because they have deemed it experimental. You might want to go on the lap band board and ask your question also, some of the members that frequent that board could answer your question better. Also check the link above called "insurers" look in the list for UHC to see what other peoples comments are about them.
