Found a Less Expensensive Hotel in Chicago, Close to Chicago Event

Ronna you are clueless. It's a beautiful neighborhood. I LIVE IN IT. I can see the Chicago Lodge from the LUXURY CONDO BUILDING I live in, 55 stories above Foster and Sheridan. Directly adjacent to the Chicago Lodge is the upscale Cycle and Saddle Club. Along Marine Drive from the Chicago Lodge to Weiss Memorial are beautiful condo and apartment buildings facing Lake Michigan including Chicago landmark, the Aquatania. It's a lovely walk or drive along a lakeside park to Weiss about one mile away.

I'll have to defer to you Dona as you live there now. I used to work at Weiss and the neighborhood was not good, but that was a long time ago. So while not clueless my information may be a bit dated.

I can't begin to guess just how "dated" your information is. Like I said, I'm looking at the Chicago Lodge as I type this. My building was built in 1972 as luxury apartments so if this neighborhood was ever "terrible" I guess it might have been before then.

The person who was mean was the person who insulted my neighborhood when she didn't have a clue what she was talking about.

And maybe some people couldn't attend this event unless they can find an economical hotel---a rarity in Chicago. It's thoughtless and a disservice to people needing ACCURATE information to attempt to convince them they won't be safe in this area. Maybe they'd even be worried about coming at all if they think they're coming to some "terrible neighborhood." And she hasn't even BEEN HERE in 25 years!!
