Why don't anyone
Hi, my name is Barb and I mainly post on the main forum message board for the same reason that you just mentioned. I live in Springfield, IL, and I try to look at the Illinois board everyday, but it's like no one is talking. I have had my consult, psych eval, pulmonary function study, sleep study, blood work and pre-op dieting and now I am waiting for a vascular consult with a surgeon to place an IVC filter before I can have the surgery. I will be salty if the vascular surgeon says no (because it is elective). I've had to travel to Chicago to see a bariatric surgeon at CORI centers because here in Springfield they do the surgery (have a big thing about it), but they will not accept Medicare or medicaid. Geez, this is the capitol and everything, you think they would if anyone did, but I guess it is all political or something. Anyway, I would visit this site and post more if other people from Illinois would. I don't even know hardly any of the people on this board. Let's just post daily even if we are just talking about ANYTHING!! That way we will all get to know each other!!

Candi and all~
I hereby do solemnly swear to be a better 'goal for today' poster.
My name is Katie and I am relatively new (couple months or so) to OH.com
I live in Chicago on the far north side of the city. I am 39yo and have been fat since I was a toddler. I have almost reached my highest weight ever since I quit smoking on July 14th. I am scheduled to have RNY lapro. on Dec. 13th with Dr. Constantine Frantzides
at Evanston Hospital.
I am in the process of getting all of the testing completed. I have a the MRI and endoscopy (sp?) scheduled for October 7th. I will be meeting with the nutritionist sometime this month.
My BMI is 48 --
I am excited at the idea of attaining good health again. Being 'a regular weight' is almost an after-thought. Mostly, I want to be here for another 40 + years.
I am engaged to be married and I have one daughter and one little grandson -- all who I adore.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. I try to post regularly to my OH.com page. I am creating a fairly comprehensive resources list. Please feel free to take a look.
Peace and blessings,
Katie

Hi Candi,
I guess I am guilty of getting busy and just checking the main board from time to time.
Please forgive me
