chandra hamilton's recovery..update
This is Kristie, Chandra's sister. I am here in the hospital with her, to love and protect and support her decision to have this operation. Although it has been altogether trying, I must say she is quite a trooper, with the will to overcome this. I was so very upset when I 1st got to see her, right out of surgery, I wondered why anyone would opt to hurt themselves, with such excruciating pain for weight loss. I don't know if I am as strong as she, for she has leapt great obstacles in these few days....Today she had her upper GI, and there were no leaks, so they removed the tube from her nose and the foley will come out in a few minutes. Yesterday, she walked the entire 4th floor and back around to her room, speadily, I might add. She will start on liquids today, and the pain pump will be eliminated. Speaking of the pump, Yesterday, Chandra hardly used it, she wanted to use tolerance, instead of drugs for her pain management...I AM SO PROUD! I will give another update as soon as news is availabe, Hopefully my strong sister will be posting her own update from home tomorrow...I have every faith in the world in Chandra, we will be going home tomorrow...if it's up to her. Thank-you.....Kristie Hamilton
Hi I just wanted to let Chandra know how very happy I am for her. She is very fortunate to have loving, caring and supportive people in her life. Thank you so much for posting her updates here for us to read. Chandra you are inspirational to me and give me the courage to proceed with my journey as well. I hope to come through all of this just as well as you have. Take good care and keep us updated.
