One Year Ago today....
Well one year ago today my surgery had gone bad and an hour and half surgery turned into 8. The next three months I thought I was out of my mind for doing this, with complications and infections. I lost all my hair
Well, what a difference a year makes I would do it again in a heart beat
I have lost 200 pounds from my heaviest. Going from a size 5X/32 to size 6 jeans. I thought I was living life before, NOT
I have posted my before and after picture on my profile. I am getting my pictures together from the last year and hope to have them posted by the end of the week
Pre-ops, dreams do come true, post-ops, keep up the great work. You will not believe what is waiting for you 12 months later
Take care,
Kathy
330/130/12?

Ya know, Kath, I remember all of the heck you went through after your surgery. It's so great to see how far you've come and how wonderfully you're doing. Even though I'm sooooo jealous of your single digit sizes LOL Just kidding! I'm proud of you!!
Can't wait to see all of your pix and to meet you, too!!
Hugz,
Cathy
Congradulations Kathy. You look WONDERFUL and I know you must feel great too. The last time I saw you was at the WLS support group meeting at Edward. I would be very interest in the protein diet to kick start the weight loss. Mine stopped at 10 months and has actually gone up about 5 pounds, which scares the heck out of me. Let me know also if you get a support group started in our area. Debbie
hi all,
I too had a horrible experience with my initial surgery. I went into hospital aug 03 and came out nov 03. After almost dying twice and 7 surgeries due to leakage, infection and rupturing and numerous months of physical rehabilitation. I survived and now weigh 210lbs lighter and healther. I started off 400lb and now weigh 190lbs. I wore a 4xl shirt/56in pants and now wear a medium shirt/32in pants. I am very proud of myself but know each and everyday is a new day. I use the adversity that I have faced to my advantage and try to live life to the utmost. I am 33yrs young, single, good job and now feel like I want to face the new endeavors that my life has set out for me-'CARPE DIEM' I hope to see all of you at OH IL convention in Oct. I dont have pictures posted yet but you can email me and i can foward you pics of my progress. Cya Dennis.
