lap band w Kelm scheduled for 8-29

I have 2 children.... would appreciate any input from other Lap Band patients on how long it took to recover?

Kathleen, I cannot tell you about the recovery of the band but I have a suggestion for you - you might want to also post this on the lapband forum. You may get more responses there. Or possibly on the main message board also. Good luck.

Kathleen, I have four children. My surgery was on Tuesday, I came home(sort of) on Wednesday and stayed with the kids and there grandma until Friday. My 3 oldest went to school on Thursday and the 4 year old went to daycare. I kept her home with me on Friday, and we even walked a few blocks to the local store. I went home Friday night but the kids stayed at their grandmas until Sunday. I slept the entire weekend. I could have kept the kids with me. The older ones (10 and 11) would have been a huge help, but I was fortunte that I had a break away from them to focus on me. I was back to my normal routine on Monday, probably thanks to the rest I got prior to it. Pain was not an issue, I was just sooooooooooo tired, probably from the anestesia etc., good luck to you, if you have any more questions, please feel free to email me. dawn
