I know what you mean about the plateaus. I had one two weeks after surgery that lasted 6 weeks. I thought I'd made a huge mistake. Unfortunately, I understand the Cubs reference all too well. I couldn't believe they beat St. Louis twice. Of course, yesterday was back to reality.
