Hi all, Well Im 2 weeks post op and I am really feeling pretty good I got my staples out yesturday, My Hospital stay ended up lasting 1 day longer then most and my surgery took 7 hours, but i was told my Dr. is a perfectonist and thats fine by me he didnt like how it looked when it was done so he re did every thing. I have lived on jello, pudding and I tried broth but I cant even stand the smell of broth any more. this week i got to add cottage cheese and it has went down fine and mashed potatoes do good on me. I have had a couple bad sticking feelings when I dont think about what Im doing, yesturday was the worst I took a bite of a cracker very small and without thinking a huge gulp of soda and oh my gosh my chest hurt so bad and there was nothing I could do I just kept walking and spitting, ( gross) it felt like a hear attack i could not swallow any water nothing! I juyst kept trying to breath threw it, finally I threw up after about 15 minutes of pure hell and it was total relief! I cant beleive so much was caused from such a little mess up..iam being very careful today i dont want to go threw that again. My blood pressure has dropped to normal, and i havent started back on my anti deppressants, I first thought I had made a mistake but once i got out of the Hospital iam so glad that i did this even with the little pain im still having..but reaklly the pain is managable. I never thought I would make it to the loosing side but in 2 weeks i have lost 25.5 pounds it is amazing it is the greatest feeling i hope you all keep succeeding.. Ill keep you up dated good luck to all of you who are still waiting hang in there the wait will be worth it...Lisa michelle

I am so glad your surgery went well. I made those same mistakes at first but it doesn't take long to learn to eat differently. I am sure you will do fine. Keep on posting your progress. It is exciting to hear how people are progressing.
