Anyone who has BCBS of IL..........

Been approved for the DS surgery?? The key word here is IL. Not being sarcastic, but some have answered and said "yes" with no problem. But come to find out they have BCBS of something else. Let me know!

I have BCBS of IL, but my policy will not pay for the DS - they consider it experiamental or something. Does not mean ALL policys will exclude it - best bet is to call the 800 (member services number) on the back of your card. Give them your policy and group number and they will tell you exactly what is covered and what paperwork you need to submit in order to make sure it is approved. They have been very helpful (so far) Since everyones plan is different - that would be your best bet into making sure it is covered so you are not surprized later! Good luck!!

He has great Surgical Statistics and Understanding Office Staff. He did my Lap Band, on 8/17/04. I am down 110 lbs. They hold a forum to EDUCTATE you about every choice and opportunity.
