Intolerance to Protein? Anyone else?
Since it is unclear which school of thought is correct, I say don't take any chances. Mix solid protein with liquid and take every supplement that you are told to take. What's the worst that can happen other then good health? If I were you I would continue to search for a whey based protein powder that you can tolerate.
I had a problem tolerating protein until I found 100% Whey (24g). I bought the vanilla ice cream flavor and mix it with 6 to 8 ozs. of Carb Countdown Chocolate milk(12g protein). That is the only thing I can get down. I tried it yesterday with a little peppermint extract and that was awesome. I cannot taste the powder at all.
Good Luck with the Protein....I believe it is a must. I can tell the difference on days that I miss a shake.
