Anyone out there have any experience with the Personal Care HMO of the Local Government Health Plan? I am switching incurances soon and have a choice as to which one I go with. Had BCBS/IL and was denied twice, hopefully I will have better luck. Thank-you, Cindy

Hi Cindy!! Have no experience with PersonalCare, but saw from your profile that you show frenchies and bull mastiffs. I have flat coated retreivers I show in conformation (both my girls are breed champions - and one of them is out of a Westminster BOB winner), agility (put AX and AXJ on my older gal), field and recently obedience. Love dogs and performance events!! Had to give up agility because every time I ran it I got injured; my body couldn't handle the quick direction changes required. At 300+ pounds it just wasn't fun anymore. It's also a lot less fun in the breed ring at this size. I just got approved by BC/BS, but it was over a year of hard work and documentation of it. Hang in there and be patient!! Whatever you decide about insurance, figure out what they require and be as tenacious as one of your bulldogs! It will happen. Good luck! Sandy

If you are asking about Personal Care/Coventry Health....I have it and it is wonderful for RNY. I was denied through them for the LapBand, but the next day approved for the open RNY. My surgeon's office said that they have never seen Personal Care turn down a RNY in their office......Hope that helps...Good Luck
