Surgery delayed with Dr. Tiesenga office

My surgery has been delayed 7 weeks. Cecelia of Dr. Tiesenga office clims the doctor is on vacation. Has anyone else surgery been delayed for weeks; was a reason given such as vacation? I'm so-o-o- angry. I am always given the run-a-round with this office.

I have never had a problem with the office but I did get a call the other day rescheduling my appointment. Instead of seeing Dr. Fred I will be seeing his father Dr. Marvin. I think Dr. Fred is an awesome surgeon but is on vacation a little much. He did my surgery on Friday and then had his colligues(sp.) follow up on me because he was on vacation. To say the least, I am doing great! I have only lost 30lbs. but I have not had any problems and I think that is what matters most. I hope they can make some arrangements for you and hopefully you will have your surgery soon. Have you asked Cecilia if you can have Dr. Marvin do your surgery instead of having to wait so long? Maybe that is an option. Stay positive and I will keep you in my prayers. Shelley

He's going to be on vacation for 7 weeks? Or he's just that backed up? I never had a problem but I had surgery with him almost a year ago when Crystal was there (MY SAINT) not Cecilia. Dr. Marvin ROCKS. I don't think he will do your surgery. Just hold tight. Stick with it. You're obese now and you will be in 7 weeks. (Pssst....but you won't be for much longer) It'll be ok.
