Getting excited....

Hi, I just had to post to you all.I got a call from the Cori Center.Annita said I will be getting more info in the mail w/ a DR.s order to have my lab work done.After I get labs done I can call and make my consultaion!I am getting very excited and nervous!She also said after we send all the paper work in it should take about 2- 21/2 weeks for approval from my insur.I am thinking that I may just have this wls yet! Have a wonderful day! P.S.If anyone has any tips or something they thnk might help me on my journey please let me know. Tonia

Hi Tonia: As you know from this site be sure that you follow-up and check that your insurance received all the information etc. Make copies of everything that is sent in because it seems like they always lose something. If you don't hear anything back in two and half weeks call your insurance and follow-up. My son's surgery was approved in three weeks and we had letter in hand. It took us getting involved instead of relying on Dr's office because our insurance hadn't gotten anything from them when we phoned and we got a case file opened for him. We had the approval letter in our hand before the Dr's office. We faxed it to them and they lost it so we had to take it to them again. We made several copies to have on hand in case they misplace it a second time. We had a surgery date in less than a month after they got that letter. Also request a copy of your labs so that you have them for your file. I have copies of all my families medical records in case I should need them. Hi Ami! I just got my papers for getting my labs done and alot of other atuff too.!Wow maybe will get to meet while going threw this wls.That would be !!!! I called and talked to Anita and asked a few ?'s. I am now trying to find a psychiatrist(spelling?) that takes my PA card. Someone posted something about one a while back I will see if I can find that post. Well, gonna go and look up that post. Have a wonderful day! Tonia
