surgery success!!!!

I had my surgery yesterday! They had problems finding a vein to start my IV, but they finally got it! I went in to surgery at 2:10 pm after having difficulties with breathing while they inserted my breathing tube. surgery was done about 3:30 with a long time in recovery of about 3 hours, due to breathing problems. I slept through the night. Today i was blowing 500 on my spirometer and i sat on the edge of my bed and stood up for the first time this morning. I walked about 10 ft this afternoon. They took my morphine pump and have me on an oral pain medication. I started on my liquid diet this morning also! I had 1 oz of jello and some water, WHAT A RELEIF!! so far so good!!

That is GREAT news! Congratulations on the successful surgery and great job on your first steps on the road to recovery. Everything from here on out will get a little easier bit-by-bit (well, maybe a FEW bumps in the road), and you are going to love the new you.
