incisional hernia question??

Does anyone know if Dr. Boe from Belevidere, Ill fixes his incisional hernias?? I am trying to get in to see him to verify what happens now. are these dangerous? This is my first complication and I am nervous. I had an umbilical hernia repared at the time of surgery but this ine is different. It seems close to the surface?????

Tammie I just had my incisional hernia repaired in April. We called my hernia my alien heads because that's what they looked like and they stuck out very far also. They waited 18 months to fix my hernia to make sure that all the weight loss had taken place. Now my alien heads are gone and I am going for my 2 year checkup and my checkup from hernia repair next week. Incisional hernias usually are not in danger of strnagulating and causing more severe problems is what I was told Wear your abdominal band to keep them secure. No weight training etc or heavy lifting to strain them any worse is what I was told. Hope this helps you.. Ramona
