Where are all the Illnois People??

I am originally from Olney/Sumner Illinois. I am having WLS August 8th. I moved to Mississippi about 6 years ago. I was hoping to pop onto the Illinois site and find some friends. This board doesn't look like it is too active!! I hope everyone in my homestate had a WONDERFUL 4TH OF JULY!! I had to work for a little while but came home early. Took a nap then grilled out. Shot off fireworks with the children and grandbabies. Now am heading to bed. Happy 4th to All!! Judy

Most of the Illinois People went over to the singles board. That board is much more active and pretty if you ask me. Not sure if I fit in there - but will continue to linger awhile!

Hi Judy, congrats on your surgery. I had the WLS surgery on Aug 9, 2004 and I would do it again if I had too! you're going to feel so much better. just wait until you get the energy. You're not going to know what to do with yourself. I weighed 270 lbs before surgery now I weigh 155lbs and I have ton's of energy!! I had the surgery at Silver Cross hospital in Joliet, Il my surgeon's name is Dr. Christopher Joyce a wonderful man! I have no regrats and I didn't experience any of the negative things that different individuals talked about.
