Well, I'm 4 weeks post op and have officially lost 30 lbs. Is this a pretty normal result that others have had? I'm very excited but wish I could eat without puking...I don't get sick all the time. I'm told this will get better with time. Sue McD

Sue- that is a great weightloss. People are different, so you cant really compare. At 1 month out I was at -39 lbs. I have a friend that had the surgery and she wont be 1 month out until July 13th and she's already lost 34 lbs. I've only gotten sick 1 time although I've felt like crap SEVERAL times. The puking will get better. Just hang in there! ((( hugs))))

Sue, Congrats on your weight loss!!! I haven't had any puking experiences yet, but I am only 8 days out. I just had some nausea over the pain meds. I would love to know what causes you to puke so that I can avoid that. I start on pureed foods next Tuesday. Cindy Lou Who
