Did any of you have problems eating? One day I can eat soup and another it makes me puke! It's very frustrating. Does anyone have suggestions for soft diet? Sue

Sue, Check the fat content on the soup you're eating. Early pre-op (and even sometimes now), I named my little tummy "Pouchy McFinicky".. I told people I learned WLS Rule #426: "What I cannot eat today, I may be able to eat tomorrow.. but maybe not the day after that." If the fat content is high, it could be causing the reaction.. or it could be the acidity.. or it could just be your pouchy is persnickety .. and try something else.. For a long time I had problems with beef.. but now beef is the most common thing I know I will be able to eat.. (go figger).. I was really concerned and my doctor just said "when that happens.. put that thing aside for a while and try it again in a few weeks" If you can't get ANYTHING down.. get in and get checked.. you could have a blockage or a stricture.. easily fixed but needs attention.. Good luck!! Stef

Your new pouch is still "learning". For the first time I had to eat according to my body's needs, not my brain's. Obviously it hadn't been doing too good of a job. Take is slow, realize that each day in the beginning can be different. Maybe it worked yesterday--maybe today the pouch is more sensitive. It will calm down to a new "normal", Be patient. Good luck--Bek
