ANYONE HEAR OF ELBURN?

Hi, I have to attend a training seminar in Elburn, Ill the end of this month, and wondered if anyone here knew the area. Here's what I'm looking to find out: I want to take a train from Kansas City to either Elburn or somplace close enough to take a taxi to the conference center (I don't want to fly if I don't have to. It's not fear, just a desire to have a nice, leisurely trip). Is this possible? If not, how far is the train station from the O'hare airport? I might come in the day before and stay at a hotel there to meet with friends the next day. If you have any knowledge on this, it would be great to hear from you. Thanks, Grace

Grace Elburn is around the St. Charles Area (Aurora, dekalb, elgin are all around it)- about an hour west (on 56) of Chicago and probably 45 minutes from the airport You could probably get off the train at joliet and head north (still about an hour drive)- might be less traffic then coming into chicago. The train (unfortanatly) does not go that far North, so flying into ohare and taking a train back to elburn would not work for you. You are looking at driving about an hour either way - whether you fly into Ohare (but then you are looking at Chicago traffic) or take the train and get off at the closest station.
