Help
Unfortunately, Stephanie, this is one of those things that doesn't tend to be easily gotten around.
Even if you HAD kept records of your WW dieting, it's likely that it wouldn't qualify because your insurance wants a "doctor supervised" weight loss program. That means you need to be weighed in and talked with about your weight loss on a monthly basis by your doctor.. monthly weigh ins and doctor visits.. they want to see that in your medical records.. and they typically don't accept WW (and your weigh in book) as proof.
Get started now, though. Talk to your PCP -- even if you are going to appeal -- and start the weigh ins NOW.. if your appeal is denied, you'll be that much further ahead.
I so wish I could tell you what you want to hear..
Stef

When I was denied because of the doctor supervised diet I was soooo angry. I contacted the attorney here on line, I ranted and raved. While I did all of that I also started going to my doctor and the dietician. I needed to see one of them once a week. Yes, once a week I was going either to the dietician or to the doctor. Let me tell you, it was not fun but before I knew it, I had a month done, then a second. Then all of a sudden, I was down to the wire, I had made all six months (that was all I needed) and during that time, I had not saved enough money to use as a retainer on the attorney. We submitted to my insurance and I was approved in less than 2 weeks.
I guess what I am saying is the time really will go by fast. Get there right away, start the whole process. Attorneys will tell you that they will get you out of it, do you have that kind of money? What if it does not work? You have wasted A LOT of money and a lot of time that you could be meeting the requirements.
I wish you tons of luck
Nancy
