Newbie - just getting started

Hi all I have been reading these boards awhile and am just starting out! I am in Springfield and am going through Memorial and Dr. Hammer for my surgery. In the "insurance waiting game now" but go see him again on July 7th. I am SO excited and feel a big weight as been lifted off me already. I have gotten alot of great advice of the boards already, and I can not wait to be on "the other side" Have TONS of questions already, but I know it will all be worth it in the end. Not looking foward to the psyc visit because I keep thinking I am going to say the wrong thing and blow my chance!! IN the meantime I will just keep my head up and pray that everything works out OK! Patty - Welcome to the Illinois board I remember my first post like it was just yesterday . . . anyways, I started my journey back in September and I am having surgery in less than four weeks. Best wishes to you Nancy

The waiting is the hardest, everything else seems to fall right in place as soon as your approved....and it is well worth it....good luck and if you have any questions just ask I myself have found that on this site someone always can help....keep smiling, Dawn

Thanks Nancy and Dawn I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. be sure to keep us updated on how it goes. I am prepaired for a long journey - Hope to have surgery scheduled by the holidays though. What a great Christmas present that would be!!! Take care Patty
