Anyone had lap band?

I am thinking of having the lapband surgery. I live in Aurora, and am thinking of having it at the Wish center in Downers Grove. Anyone have any suggestions? How long was it for you before you were able to go back to work? Please give me some info.

I had lap band surgery!! I had it on a friday and was back to work on Tuesday. I was off my pain meds by Wednesday. It's been great so far...I am almost 3 weeks postop and have lost 30lbs. I've been able to walk and resume most of my normal activities. I was picking up my 33lb. two year old by week 2 and eating mushies at week 1. Let me know if I can be of more assistance.
