06/20/2005 Well where do I start? I went to New York for the Yankee's Cub game.Left Thursday 6/17/2005 and came home on Sunday! I had more fun than I've had in 5 years.I saw Ground Zero I had chills when I saw that site!!!!! When I wentto Times Square I was speachless I look around with my mouth wide open for 30 minuntes.yankee Statium was a couple of days I will never forget!!!! My buddy who now lives in Orlando met me and his buddy got us in the Statium club(UNBLEAVEABLE) We were rubbing elbows with the elite!!! We had the buffett there it was 37.50 a person it was unbeliavle i had three plates full and i ate a little bit of everything but i stayed away from the deserts. My buddies were moaning when they ate the deserts!!! Notice i said Deserts because they ate more than one!!! You should of saw the look on the waiters face when he was taking my almost full plates away.Like i said I took a little of everything but could only eat a little.I cheated and had my 1st taste of pizza in 6 months!OMG i could of ate 2 pices but i had a sliver 2 different times.I drank well(michalobe ultra) and ate well and was the same weight when i got home!!! Not bad for the food my buddies ate.The Cubs lost both games I went to but it still was a Great Time. All you people wondering if WLS was worth it all i can tell you is that fat people don't have 1/2 the life experience and thats probley overstating it!!!!!! I even went swimming at the hotel that is the 1st time in 6 to 7 years.I wasn't embarrassed infact there was alot heavier people there than me it felt good!!! This weekend proved to me I"M NORMAL AGAIN!!!!!!!!! My buddies had a hard time keeping up with me! All your dreams are reachable if you work a little. The sacrifice is well worth it in the end!!!! Thanks for my life back WLS!!!! Taco 459/308/220

Jeff - I am telling you dude, you are doing so wonderful! You really are. I am so happy because I can tell every single time you post how happy YOU are! It is wonderfull. Your whole family has to be doing the happy dance for you!! Sorry YOUR cubbies lost but the south sider in me is laughing . Actually, the only baseball I follow is the baseball that MY 8 year old Yankee plays. He is a typical southsider though who only like the Sox. Anyways, you are doing things you never could have done before and I am so happy for you, keep up the great work, Nancy 27 days and counting!!

I'm so glad you had such a good time. I watched those games in Yankee Stadium and got pretty depressed. I didn't see Friday's game because I was at the Sox game with son and grandson -- a birthday present for my son, the Sox fan. So, I endured all the sellers of abusive to Cubs t-shirts outside the park, but I enjoyed the game -- even tho my 7 year old grandson cheered when they posted the Cub loss on the scoreboard. Where did I go wrong! The good news was that it was easier than I thought to get something healthy to eat. The best part, tho, was that I fit in the seat for the first time in a long time. Great feeling.
