I NEED HELP PLEASE TRICAREPRIME MEMBERS

Hello, my name is Carrie and i have tricare prime. My problem is yes they will pay for me to have the surgery but now they want me to lose 50lbs before they will even do the surgery. I need to speak with someone who has tricare prime and who has had the surgery in illinois or missouri and hasn't had to lose 50 lbs before having the surgery. i need the surgery ASAP and i need a surgeron soon. can anyone please help??? I had my surgery in Mo and have TriCare Prime. I did not have to lose 50 pounds, but my surgery was almost 2 years ago. Please feel free to email me with any questions. ((((((HUGS))))) Dawn

Go see Dr. Wood @ the CORI Centers....talk to Tina the dietician....I have Tricare Prime and tricare should not be the one to dictate whether or not you lose weight prior to surgery...it is the doctor who dictates...it might be a safety issue...my bmi is 48 and he said that this was fine....may I ask your BMI...I don't know if I can give you his website but is is ...coricenters.
