OH NO!

I e-mailed the person who sets up the surguries for my dr and asked if she knew how long it takes for medicaid to get approved and if I could set up a tentative date. I have read in a few profiles that is usually takes only like a week. But my woman said that it could take a few months and we can't rush the state. Please let me know if you were on medicaid, how long it took for approval? This seems like such a major blow. Tomorrow will be one week from when all my info was submitted from the state. Laura

it all depends on the state. It can take anywhere from just a few days to a month. I had my insurance submitted on Dec 17th, was approved on the 27th and recieved my approval letter in the mail on the Dec 31st. Hope this helps. You should be hearing something from the state SOON!!!
