Well I made it. I'm alive. I went in on Tuesday and was discharged late Thursday night. I had to stay an extra day due to a fever and infection. I still have the infection but hopefully it will clear up with the new antibiotics they gave me. Recovery is as hard as RNY. Hopefully it will not be as long of a recovery as I'd like to get back to work soon. I've lost 10 pounds so far and I'm hoping to lose a few more. They tightened the muscles over my pouch so tight I can't eat very much. This is a good thing. I'm very pleased with Dr. Fenners work. He really is a master and everyone at the hospital raved about him. I wasn't very happy with the hospital itself though. They seem to always be mixed up and confused and contradicting eachother. The only other bad part was that my family was never told I was out of surgery. They finally found out by inference after I had been in recovery for 2 hours. My family kept asking and asking how I was but no one had any answers. I'm not sure whose screw up this was but I chalk it up to the poorly run hospital. Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I'll update my profile as soon as the swelling goes down. I know I'm going to be extremely happy with the results.

Welcome home and congrats on a successful procedure. I'm sorry to hear about the problems with the hospital. Which hospital was it? Soon, I'm sure any negative feelings concerning the hospital will fade, and you'll be able to concentrate on the new and improved you. Good going!

Dawn, Congratulations and good luck. I'm looking into doing a hernia repair and maybe a TT along with it. It's only been 8 months since my WLS and I'm going in for my consult mid-June. How long is 'normal' recovery for the TT? I hope insurance is kind to me! Mike
