Cramps...HELP!!

Hi guys! I need some help on what I can take for cramps. I was over a month late and now I am suffering. Its hard for me to move. I had cramps before I had the surgery done too, but NEVER this bad. I have heating patches on, but I am in a lot of pain. It is awful. I have been crying all morning. I know we post ops can not take nsaids or ibu, aleve...etc...those were my staples before surgery. My doc is closed today. I need some advice and quickly before I curl up and can't move a muscle!!!! Please help me!!! xoxoxojenn

Goodmorning Jennifer, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad, but I have to say that I can relate. I also was a month late and when my cramps came they came hard. So what I did was took the same pain meds that I took for my surgical pain and that relieved the cramps immediatly. Hope you feel better soon!

My surgeon suggested to use...I can't remember if it is Midol or Pamprin...the one with tylenol (acetaminophen) in it. He just said not to take it too much because of the diuretic. Hope this helps. Warm drinks can help too. Mind were and still are after the surgery...the price we women have to pay!!! Andrea

I missed 4 months!! I had cramps so bad I couldn't even move... I took a ton of tylenol! Sorry I can't be more help... but just know I'm having sympathy cramps thinking about it... hope it gets better soon!

Wow!!! You missed a month? I think I found yours because I happend to have two periods this month!!! I take tylenol. It helps quite well. ((((((HUGS)))))) Dawn

I called my surgeon and he ok'ed Midol(Tylenol and the diuretic-Water pill).He also said Pamprin was okay.As long as they used Tylenol in the formula.I used my surgery pain medicine,but eventually you run out of this.Midol worked for me before surgery,and it continues to work for me now.Pamprin also works for me ,as well.But,each doc is different.I would still call your doc as soon as you can to see what he/she says.
