Exercise question!
Just me...
When did you guys start exercising? When you did start exercising, did you find you lost weight quicker? Hows about protein shakes. I am still having issues stomaching them. Everyone LOVES Stack...I can't stand it.
I'd love some suggestions on some other tasing Chocolate shakes. Or suggestions on how to perk it up!
Thanks you guys rock! Down to 258 this am! xoxoxojenn
about the protien shakes. have you tried Body Fortress from Walmart, it cost around $11, for the big tub. I get the chocolate and vanilla. I make it with 8 oz of water only. It has about 20g protien per scoop, i use 1 1/2 scoops per drink, that way i get like 30 gr with each shake. i also add a few ice cubes. It is a whey protein, avoid the soy ones, they tast like s___t. Email mail me for more info if you need it.
I had my surg on 4/14, i think our weight lose is moving along at about the same pace. I'm down about 30 lbs now. Walking 1.5 to 2 miles a day. And yesterday I golfed 18 holes. Now that wore me out.
Good luck and keep up the good work

Hi Jennifer
I am the Queen of Protein Shakes...........here are a few of my favorites
1 scoop protein (I like Champion Banana Scream, Cinnamon Vanilla, and Cocomocochino)
1 scoop frozen Cool Whip
1 handful frozen fruit (I like the berries, peaches, and strawberries)
3-4 oz of water
Some people also add yougart....not for me!!
Blend...........its yummy...........I sometimes make it with less water and then its like sherbert...........really good..you can also add Carb counter ice cream....for a special treat
I also like to use the choc with hazelnut instant coffee crystals, ice and water............tastes just like Starbucks...............
I have also used the Carb counter Juices.........mixed with fruit,,,and cool whip...........tastes like a dreamsicle
Let me know what you think............My kid sis in San Francisco swears by my shakes..........and she is down 99 pounds in 11 months.........I am 17 months post and at goal with a loss of 107.....Best wishes and good luck along your journey..........Patti

Hi Jennifer!
I started exercising the day after surgery! The nurses
said I needed to walk 4 times per day. I could only
go about 3 blocks for the first few days, but I am now
walking minimum of 1 mile per day at lunchtime at work.
I also joined a fitness center, and take aquacize classes
a minimum of 5 days per week. I have had a few bumps
in the road where I was unable to exercise 7 days a week,
but I'm trying to keep to exercising every single day!
I was told not to worry about slow weight loss, because
the more you exercise, the more lean muscle you add -
and muscle weighs more than fat.
I don't think you necessarily lose weight quicker by
exercising - because of the above statement. In fact,
the week my Father passed away, I barely had any exercise
at all, and I lost 8 pounds. The two weeks prior, where I
exercised daily, I only lost 1 pounds, and 2 pounds respectively.
HOWEVER -- don't let that sway you from exercising. Even tho
the weight loss may be slower - you will continually be losing
INCHES!!!!!!!! I was down 3 pant sizes in a MONTH!
As far as protein shakes - I was drinking Isopure chocolate,
and now my taste has changed and I can't stand it. I used to
like Slim-Fast - but now that tastes awful too. Not sure what
I am going to do about that - because without the shakes, I
know I'm not getting my protein in. I saw some other protein
shake suggestions and will try them.
Good luck with your continued journey

I started exercising 9 days after I got home. I have a bad knee so I do aerobic exercises in a sitting position. It's actually quite strenuous. I definitely sweat. I tried every protein drink know to man. They all made me queasy. So, I've turned to low carb, low fat protein bars which I chew, chew, chew.
