Moving to your lovely state :)

Hi all, I am just stopping by this board because...as my subject implies...I am moving in a week to Illinois and I wanted to just see how yall are over here. I am from New York, and had my wls almost one year ago. (I plan to move on my one year anniversary ) I am looking to find a support group locally so that I can continue to be in the wls community. Sara, let me also welcome you to the IL board. Could you tell us were in the Chicago area you are moving to? Your profile just says that you are moving to Chicago and for us here we know that is a big place. We have many support groups in the area, some formal some informal, we would love to have you on board. Look back a couple of days ago there was a question just about that very thing and of course there is the events board that you can access at the top of the page and it goes by state. When you get here and are settled, are learning your way around maybe some of us local Chgo ppl can meet you in person at a restaurant to welcome you and raise a cup of whatever.
