Medicaid-need PS for breast reduction...HELP!!!

Hello everyone.....Looking for advice, Im a pre-op, and at the recommendation of my General Prac., I was advised to get a breast reduction before I do anything else, only problem is I am on IPA, due to losing my job to health problems associated to weight. My Dr. gave me some names to call, but she wasnt sure if they took IPA, so I figured coming to this board would be my best bet, hoping someone could advise me or let me know of their experiences....I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help! Karen In my non-medical opinion ;) it would be backwards to get a reduction first. I was a large D pre op and now am a very small B. If I had a reduction as a pre op I'd still probably end up needing another breast surgery post op. Just a thought;) Kathy

Hey there, I had a breast reduction and reconstruction in 2000 and I am also on Medicaid. If you are close to Effingham Illinois you might want to try Dr. Fifer, he did my brest surgery and took Medicaid which paid 100%. If you have any questions feel free to email me in return. Michele
