I AM APPROVED and HAVE A DATE!!

If you think that Friday the 13th is unlucky - THINK AGAIN!! I got my approval from my secondary insurance FINALLY! THEN, I got 2 surgery dates: 1st one - carpal tunnel on 6/16/05 2nd one - Open RNY on 6/28/05 I am SO excited!!!! I already gave notice at work and my last day to work before surgery will be a month from today!!! WOOHOO!!!! I've been doing the happy for the last 24 hours! Cindy Lou Who

Thanks Nancy! I am so excited - it's crazy! At the same time, this is the first time that have felt nervous about it. I guess because it is REALLY happening and I know it will take LOTS of hard work. I know from talking to so many others on here that the work will be well worth it though! Cindy

Thanks Sue! We can do this "walk in the park" together I hope! My orthopedic surgeon said the carpal tunnel won't be that bad...but he has never had it. Since I will be driving myself home from the hospital and then on to Springfield, MO the next day - I hope you both are right! Take care, Cindy Lou Who

Are you sure you will be able to drive yourself home after carpal tunnel surgery? Please try to find someone else to drive you...you will most likely be medicated. The surgery is an easy one but you will still want to take those pain killers and sleep! Sue McD

The doctor said that he won't be putting me under so it shouldn't be too bad. I live in the same town as the hospital where I will have the carpal tunnel surgery. He said that a few people had driven themselves home without any problems, even though he prefers we have some help. I would ask someone, but I just don't have anyone to ask. My parents are 6 hours away and I would rather walk than ask my in-laws. I can do it and God is watching over me. Thanks for the concern though. It is nice to know there are people that care!
