steroids

anybody out there post-op who waas or is on steroid meds? I was told it would affect the healing time of my incision, and was just wondering if anybody had any info? My surgery is scheduled 5-26

when were you on steroids? how long before surgery did you stop?

i am currently still taking 20 mgs of prednisone daily for respiratory problems. My surgeon had mentioned something about putting me in hosp a couple of days prior to my surgery and putting me on iv steroids rather than the oral ones i am taking. Don't know what the difference is, but plan to ask him at my last pre-op visit on the 17th. Right now, with the steroids i am just bruising a lot easier than i ever have.
