Illinois Medical Card

I have a friend that is looking into RNY, but she has the Illinois medical card. Can anyone tell me if any doctors in southern Illinois accept this card? ((((((HUGS)))))) Dawn

I would love to find a surgeon in southern Illinois also, but sorry to tell you, I haven't found one yet. The only place I have found is in central and northern Illinois. If you look at Debby G.'s site, she has several listed. Shelley

I am from southern illinois but i was unsuccessful in finding one here and the ones that are about 4 hours away were gonna take up to a year and a half but i called the CORI center and they got me right in they are in lansing they just got their medicaid # and now they are waiting on approval. they did the nutrisionist, physic eval and surgeon consultation and blood work in one day and then you wait. Very nice people unfortunatly they are about 5 hours away from where i live. good luck to you!
