AWESOME Support Group!!!

. Monday night I attended the WLS Support Group at Highland Park Hospital. It was AMAZING!!! There were probably 20 people there, and ranged from "thinking about surgery" to several years post-op. I really learned a lot, and there was also a clothing exchange! I picked up some items! I wish I could have stayed for the whole meeting, but had another committment at 9pm. There are other meetings run by Karen - and they are in Buffalo Grove, Glenview and Evanston. There are 4 meetings a month - one at each city. I plan to hit as many as I can per month - I need all the support I can get! You can get a list of the meetings by looking under the "Events" section to the left of this post. Thanks Karen!!!!!!!!!! Good Morning Dayna, How are you doing? Great I hope!!! You are sooooo lucky, this is one area I have missed big time. I had my surgery at Northwestern and it's very hard to get downtown. There were a few at Edwards Hospital but they are no longer doing the procedure and the meeting are no more Take advantage of these groups and let Karen know we need her down here in the Naperville/Plainfield area.
