Plastic Surgeon Name/Costs

Jeanne, Im having a lift with implants, abdominoplasty, panniculectomy,hernia repair and medial thigh lipo on July 15th...hopefully sooner...and my ins is covering everything except the thigh lipo which will be oop for me. Total cost 18,000. Dr. Fenner is supposed to be the best at this whole gig.

Kathy What is a lift with implants? is it a arms ? or buttocks? I have just started my journey I am down 26lbs and I know next year at this time I will need everything Lifted,nipped and tucked Thank you You take care CHER

Kathy, I have had a consult with Dr. Fenner and I want the same thing that you do but my insurance will not cover anything but the hernia repair. I really liked Dr. Fenner. I am not sure he will be able to hancle my very large hernia. I may have to coordinate with Dr. Woody (Ervin) Denham. He is also a caring doctor. He was recommended by Dr. Fenner.My surgery is scheduled on July 22, 2005. They will not cover anything that is due to a none covered procedure. That means the gastric bypass I had. Thank God I had the bypass with United HealthCare because it was covered 100%. Good luck to you!

Jeanne, I wanted to have Dr. Lawrence Zachary do the work I needed so I payed for a consult out of my pocket unfortunately he is not in my medical network but he was recommended to me by the surgeon who did my bypass. Dr. John Alverdy, a wonderful, caring doctor and man. If you are looking to research a few plastic surgeons...I recommend Dr. Lawrence Zachary as well. Good luck to you!

For those of you that saw Dr Fenner, how long did it take for them to submit info to insurance and how long before you heard back? I realize that each insurance company is different, but wanted a general idea. I really liked Dr Fenner and his staff, I am from the st louis area and would ideally like to have my surgery down here, but i can't find a surgeon who will even bother submitting to the insurance, I realize theres a very good chance it will get denied, but humor me and at least try

Hey Tonya, It took some time for Dr. Fenner to submit the letter. I was denied by my insurance. I noticed that there was no mention of the two hernias that I have. I am following up with Lily the person in the office that deals with the insurance. I loved Dr. Fenner's staff. When I initally saw his staff, I jumped to conclusions. Thinking that they would be very judgemental and upscale. BOY, was I wrong. The staff was completely opposite want I had thought it would be. I was so impressed I gave Dr. Fenner a review in the plastic surgeon section on OH. I wish you the best of luck. Hope everything works out well for you!
