5 month dr. visit :-S
hi,
im confused from my dr. visit this am. I didn't actually see the dr. just one of the nurses there . Anyway I am 5 months out from my rny and I have lost on my scale from 198 to 158. I thought I was ahead of schedual , but after going in today and losing only 3 lbs . I think maybe I wont see 125lbs. Dr. scale started at 203 and shows today 163.5
I asked the nurse about seeing 125 and she told me that I might not ever see it, that my body wont allow it too . Its not me !
Maybe Im wrong, but I was going according to the bmi chart for my height at 5'1 and a normal bmi after surgery would put me at 125 or so .
What is everyone else's view on this ?

Trishie,
Yes, you can make your goal. I think the Dr.'s office doesn't want to disappoint people so they go by the average weight loss of 65% of the excess weight.
If you work at this you can make your goal. Do protein shakes, eat mostly protein, NO SWEETS, watch your calorie intake, and exercise every day, get that heart rate up and sweat.
You are doing great on the loss so far, 40lbs in 5 months and only 33 to go. You can do it.
