Surgery after having a baby ??

Hey all! Its me again. I have a friend that is interested in having the surgery. She has illinois medicaid and just had a baby in Nov. She was wondering if medicaid would deny her for just having a baby 5 months ago. How long would she have to wait if its too soon? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks~ Lora

I DO NOT HAVE AN ANSWER FOR YOU BUT WOULD THINK THAT THEY WOULDNT DENY HER JUST BECAUSE SHE HAD BABY RECENTLY. HOW ARE YOU DOING? NANETTE

I'm doing alright. taking it day by day. I feel 100% better than when I got home. Been walking right at about a mile everyday, hoping to up that in the next week or so.

Lora, I don't know about the Medicaid part of it, but my surgeon made me wait 6 months after I had my baby. I had surgery exactly 6 months after the birth of my baby. Everything went really well! Mellisia

Lora considering how long the process is she wouldnt have just had a baby by the time she'd have surgery..

I agree with Deb. Tell her to get started and by the time it's to the point of approval....that baby will be a year old. Melissa

My surgeon wanted me to wait 12 months after the baby because I had a vertical c-section! But, ususally it's just 6 months. I don't the insurance would deny based on that though.
