NOT COVERED

I had my consult two weeks ago and called on Friday to find out if the insurance co knew anything yet. I was denied because they said it was an exempt surgery.......I called the insurance co twice before I went to the surgeon and they told me 'Only if medically necessary"..... yet told the surgeon it was not covered???? Any ideas??

Your company's particular policy may have a written exclusion regarding weight loss surgery. You may want to contact the human resources person at your place of employment and inquire about this. I was told initially that mine was a written exclusion, but it turned out my company's policy was different. If that makes any sense I sure hope it helps LOL Good luck to you!
