I need to find a support group in the western suburbs.

I will go to my surgeon's (Dr. Frantzides) but I would definitely prefer something closer to me. If you are in the burbs, where do you go? Is it open to the public? I am near I55 (stevenson) and 355 (n/s tollway) and 294. I looked at the events page and didn't see anything and thought maybe some of you would know. Thanks

I'm in Lisle and I used to attend my surgeon's group, but that's in Evergreen Park. So now, I don't go anywhere! We need something around here!

Hi Kym... A while back this was posted, and Gail posted back to you: "We have a great one at Central DuPage Hospital. There's a general one, a post-op, and a nutritional group. Call 630-933-6745. " This is not too far for you, although not as close as it could be. Try calling Good Samaratin Hospital or Edward Hospital..they are bound to have a support group. And, let us know what you find out. I think I am going to try the one at Central DuPage, because I go to the WISH Center's one in Oak Brook, and it is quite a drive for a Thursday night. Good luck! Tracy, the WISH Center's support meets at the clinic now, they changed near the beginning of the year. It is much nicer and more intimate meeting there. The WISH Center's meetings are open to the public or so they say, they charge non-patients too much in my opinion, I think that it is $799 a year if you want to attend their support group. Tracy, we have the same doctor.

I am in the same area near I-55/355 and I agree we need a support group closer to us. I did attend one in oak lawn that wasn't that bad to get to...It was at the Oak Lawn Hilton.
