Repost from main messageboard: Hi all...any insight on what happened to me today would be much appreciated...I'm still pretty freaked out about it. I woke up at 8 this morning & went to go take a shower (with my hubby helping me thank goodness!)....about 5 minutes into the shower I felt faint & dizzy & disoriented. I asked my husband to help me out of the shower which he did. I remember saying "I need to sit down NOW" and my ankles wobbling. Apparently I started walking out of the bathroom and into the bedroom...I don't remember any of that. When I woke up about 10 minutes later my husband told me how I had walked straight into an open wardrobe door and then landed face first on the floor at the foot of the bed. He helped roll me onto my side at which point I came to and asked for a pillow. I was shaking and dizzy and sweating and just generally out of it. He brought me a dried prune which I ate slowly. That seemed to bring me back to myself. Although it did take a while to get me up off the floor. I haven't felt right all day since then. I have a giant gash across my nose and my knees are killing me, but other than that I don't think I sustained any injury in the fall. I just really really don't want it to happen again! The day before I ate plenty, drank plenty and basically felt so good that I was actually looking forward to getting back to work next week. Now today I've felt dizzy and disoriented (although I still managed to eat & drink okay). Anyone know what could have caused this??? Should I be worried? Do I need to call the Dr.?

Hi Jenny~ You absolutely need to call your doctor. It could have been a number of things causing your loss of consciousness, but whenever that happens I'd say a visit to your doctor is in order. Your blood pressure or blood glucose levels may have been low, or it could have been something else. In any case, I recommend seeing your doctor soon. Best wishes and let us know how things go. Cathy
