I cut the shoulder pads out, but everyone at work still noticed the last time I wore my clothes in these sizes, Dynasty was the number one show on TV. Ok, cut us some slack... Yes, we are shrinking, yes we love going through our closet and packing up clothes left and right. But if you are like me I can't help it if it's been awhile (ok a loooooooooong while) since I wore, 22, 20, 18 and working into 16-14's. I knew I was in trouble when the last pair of jeans had a high double think waste band I mean up to my chest, my sisters are lower than the waist band on these 80's jeans All the dresses have wide belts, I am happy I can wear a belt again but these are the ones that tie in the front.. Do you remember them from the 80's.. Well, hell..... I don't care if they laugh. I am wearing them with the SIZE TAG hanging out. Yea, I may look like Dynasty but baby I am 18 headed to 16 and PROUD OF IT! Take care, Kathy ps.... ok maybe not, maybe I should go to walmart and get a few things 330/299/171

Kathy, I had to laugh when I read this, I know how you feel...in one year I have gone from a 26 to a 14 and while it's been wonderful it's also frustrating trying to keep together a "fashionable" wardrobe. Not to mention the fact that the minute something starts to be a little too big it seems like every one of my coworkers just has to point it out. But in the end it is a small price to pay for being smaller - maybe you have noticed by now but regular size clothing is often cheaper than plus size. Lisa

OMG.. this is all so true! all I can say is THANK GOD FOR OLD NAVY!! I don't always care for the flared legs on the pants.. but for the most part, I'm able to cheaply keep my wardrobe somewhat up to date as I shrink. (and if you see something you like new on the rack, if you wait a few weeks, it'll be on sale! Not only that but they often have the same styles in the smaller sizes -- so if you're like me and your tops will be in regulars long before your bottoms.. you can still look somewhat pulled together. I heart Old Navy!! Stef Lap RNY 11/12/04 390 -> 309 -> 175

. Congratulations Kathy! I have already decided I am not going to spend $$ on clothes if I can help it. I'm going strictly with Salvation Army, Goodwill stores, garage sales, etc. if at all possible. In fact, my niece picked me up a pair of 20/22 pants at S.A. for $1.00 and my sister picked up two pairs of pants for a quarter each at a garage sale. Sis says the pants look brand new and unworn. I have the pants my niece bought and they look brand new. You may be surprised what you'd find at those stores. As for me, I'm saving my $$ until I get to goal weight - then lookout clothing stores!!! Dayna P.S. - Surgery went great - went for my followup today, had the tube removed and lost 6 pounds since surgery on 4/6!
