I need a list of things to take to the hospital with me! any suggestions?
Julie I took as little as possible...
I wore the same clothes home that I wore there...
I used their gowns so I didnt ruin mine
I took a ponytail holder/hair brush
toothbrush/toothpaste
slippers
That was it LOL
They will supply towels and soap for a shower IF they let you have one..
Good luck !!! WOOHOO!!!
Julie,
When I went for my pre-op testing, the OR coordinator gave me a packet with a list of things I might need.. but I'll tell you the things I used while I was in the hospital..
LIP BALM. I used DCT and Burt's Bees and I was so glad I had them. Lip balm will save your life!!
Slippers and socks -- I wore my nike atheletic sandals.. they could go with me into the shower, too.. and they were comfortable to slip into for my ward walks. You'll need help to get the socks on, though.
Bath toiletries. They provided me with some, but I like my own so I brought my smooshy and bath gel and my own shampoo and my toothbrush and toothpaste. I also brought some of those Oral-B tooth wipes. They were a quick easy way to freshen my mouth before they'd let me have any water (pre-leak test).
Lotion. Again, they provided me with some, but I like my own.
I also brought my mini-disk player and some mini-disks but I didn't listen to them very much. I also didn't read the book I brought.
For going home, I brought a pair of loose drawstring pants and a zipper hoodie.
That was it. Most anything you need or forget, the hospital can provide you with... and I didn't do much other than sleep and watch TV and walk.
Congratulations!!
Stef
