Let me introduce myself!

Hi, My name is Dawn and I am new around here. I have posted a few times, but I just read another post that said I should introduce myself so that you all know that I am here. At this time, I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting word from my insurance who has a vague exclusion clause. It excludes "treatment" (but does not reference surgery) "primarily" for obesity including morbid obesity. Of course, we are not primarily treating the obesity, but the co-morbidities (or are we treating the obesity so that the co-morbidities disappear????) This back and forth is almost driving me carazier than I already am..... Anyway, just want to introduce myself and ask for all the prayers I can get for a positive outcome (and this is just the beginning!). I hope to be on the losing side some day soon......

Hi Dawn, Welcome to the board. I have just finished up all the requirements (I hope anyway) for gastric bypass. My paperwork was supposed to be sent on Monday. but the coordinator is on vacation. Oh well. The waiting is hard but you'll be surprised how fast it will go. Keep coming here for encouragement. Sherry

Welcome Dawn - There are a lot of wonderful people you will meet here. I have been coming here for about 8 months, a lot of the time lurking, but have found everyone here to be wonderful. I am 4 months into a doctor/dietician supervised diet. I am hoping that I will be able to have a late summer surgery. Best wishes and welcome, Nancy
