new to this board

Hello everyone...I am new here. I am still in the dreaded beginning of all this. My insurance is Aetna PPO I finally met all my requirements or so I thought then I was told that my 26 wks of supervised diets had to be consecutive which they are not...I started all my paperwork back in Nov 2004 and today I find out that I have to start all over just to get my consecutive weeks together. Has anyone had any other luck with aetna? Is there light at the end of the tunnel???? YOU ALL LOOK SO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU

Hi Halfpint, I have aetna ppo also. My bmi was 42 and I didn't really have any major co morbidities. I had done a lot of diets but couldn't prove any of them. Aetna says it needed either 6 mos of dieting in the last two years with 3 mos of that being consecutive OR 3mo pre diet with dietition excercise physiologist etc that is what I did I I was just approved last week. I went through the wish center and they did it all for me. Check on the Aetna website thats where I found out all the info. I was denied the first time then after the 3mo preop we appealed it and they approved it. Good Luck Lori
