Sticking a toe in the water..
Deelight, you're from the armpit of America, there's several communities in Illinois that could make that claim. I won't begin to guess which one.
Anyway, thank you all for your support and kind suggestions. Right now, taking first things first, what I am dealing with today is that I have an appt. with my PCP Monday PM. He wants me to write the letter that I would turn in to my insurer, and he will sign it. Does anyone have a copy of their letter that I could work off of? I have no idea to what level of detail they would expect, and of course, I would fit it to meet my own needs.
Plagarizing...in school, we used to get detentions for it. Now, it's what I do for a living.
In the meantime, I will be checking out profiles and other areas on this site to see if I can come up with one. Thanks again!!
And yes, Mendota has the sweet corn giveaway every year. It's really pretty cool, the best sweet corn you've ever tasted, and I'm not even a native, so I think I'm an objective judge.
I had my surgery on 1/17 at Kishwaukee Hospital in Dekalb with Dr. Maillefer. He and his staff are amazing. Dr. Maillefer and Arlene (the coordinator) are both very personable and real...not the stuffy Dr. types that you typically run into when you visit the Dr.
Their program, while still fairly new, is well put together. They give you lots of information both pre and post op, and are there to support you at every step.
I'd be happy to talk to you more about the program at Kish, so feel free to email. I also encourage you to attend one of the monthly support group meetings (at no charge, unlike the WISH Center) so that you can get a feel for the program and the level of support they offer throughout the process.
The next Support Group Meeting @ Kish is on Wednesday April 6th at 6 PM in the Murphy Education Center.
I have been very pleased with my experience, both preop and postop!
