comp clinic question
Ok so I go to the meetings 2 times a month....When will you know if you even will get to have surgery. I have another check up in april with the dr. but when do they even start talking to you about any of the stuff like seeing the lung dr or any of that... To be totally honest if the meeting with erin goes like today ! I will just die of boredom before i even get to have surgery. Today was like is fruit better then juice is milk good for you things like that
how long till i have my psy interview and things of that sort? Now sandys' group last month was great!! I just really want some good advice or experience!

Things like the psych testing are pre-op tests, so you won't do any of those until after the Dr ok's you to meet with the surgeon and input on that decision comes from Sandy and Erin as well. My advice to you would be start implementing the changes you're going to have to make now. Not just things like carrying around water with you all day to sip on or practicing eating itty bitty bites and chewing your food to mush, but also trying to identify any behaviors that have contributed to your current position. I know that the wait can be frustrating, but the program is run the way it is to try and prepare us as best we can be prepared before we undergo this major life change so we don't slip back into bad habits.
