I know some people have chewed their soft foods to death just to avoid pureed food. I sooo cannot wait to be on that let me tell ya. How much longer do you have left on pureed?

You need to puree because the food needs to be smoothe and small. I would not avoid any of your prescribed weeks of the different stages of your eating PO. The different eating stages are done for a reason and it is because your small stomach and stomas need to heal and it will not heal if you are putting chunks of food into it. Even though you are chewing your food good there is always the chance that you will forget to chew as good as you need to and then that small bite of food goes down and can cause you some pain and hurt you. Stay will the program, it will not be that much longer.

Honestly, when I was on puree I basically did that with everything... I chewed it until it was mush.

I was so scared of vomiting that I pureed everything. But some stuff sounded so nasty to me that I didn't have much of a menu. Don't pu**** though, your pouch is still a big wound and that can get hurt easily. Terry
