Help! WLS and Dental Issues?

I have not seen this posted here before but I am having a strange problem with my dental health and it has to be the associated with the surgery.. I will be calling my surgeon, but wondered if any of you knew and or had this problem. About 6 weeks ago (I am 6 months post op) I noticed my teeth were turning black. Yes, black...there was black in every crevice and between my teeth and it looks terrible. I went to the dentist and he said he has several people that had our surgery and had not seen this. It's like the enamel is gone on my teeth and when I drink something like tea it just soaks it up like a sponge. He used a method to super spray water and they cleaned up pretty good but now only two weeks later it's back just as bad. I thought it was the protein so I (don't fuss at me) stopped the protein for a few weeks. Nope it was not the protein. I have drunk tea all my life and never had this happen. I would hate to have to give this up as I don't drink anything else bu****er... Anyway, sorry to ramble. If any of you have had this PLEASE let me know and more importantly what you did to get it to stop and or fix it. Thanks for any help you can give me.... Take care, Kathy 330/299/185

Kathy, I haven't heard of this before. But I have heard that iron supplements can turn a child's teeth black. Are you taking iron supplements? It might be something like this. Good luck to you. Sherry
