Hi eveyone I have a question nw suburbs/ chicago area

Hi guys I have a question I need to find a doctor in the Crystal lake area or somwhere in the vacinity that is an advocate of wls and at the same time a good doctor overall with obese patients. I also would like some information as far as surgeons in the chicago/ north west suburbs that are really good. Any help would be GREATLY apreciated.... the insurance is a ppo so I dont know if that matters or really what the difference is but if anyone could help that would be great! Hi Michelle, I have a fantatstic surgeon his name is James MAdura out of Rush Hospital in Chicago. He is very personable and will explain everything in great detail. I had my first appointment with him on Jan. 10 and had my surgery 3 weeks ago Feb 11. You can look him up on this website. Good luck on your journey, it is well worth it. Kathy

I don't know about the Far North Suburbs, but in Evanston, there are TWO FABULOUS!!!!! DOCS. I went to Dr. Kenneth Printen in Evanston, he does open (which I had, that's what I was comfortable with), but I think he may do lab also now. Dr. Frantzides (sp) in Evanston does Lap and he is GREAT!!!! Both docs share the same support group too. Dr. Printen only works out of St. Francis and Dr. F is only out of Evanston Hospital. Check into them...you would be very happy with either doctor. Tricia

Michele, I can't help you with a PCP.. but Alexian Brothers is a fantastic hospital and the surgical group I went through there is wonderful. You can click on my profile to get a link to my doc.. and I finally gave him a review.. he's awesome.. There are other doctors in the center who are all great as well.. while I was in the hospital, Dr. Guske was on call and he's not only funny and doesn't talk down to you, he's also GORGEOUS (woops.. I know that's not a criteria.. but it was awful nice to see an additional handsome face while I was feeling so crummy). Dr. Verseman has taken all my phone calls when I've had a problem afterhours.. and again.. he's awesome.. they all treat you like you're their own patient. I can't say enough about Suburban Surgical Care. If it helps, there's also a recent entry about my own PCP in my profile.. he was anti-WLS and I never knew it.. and he finally had his mind changed.. and apologized to me for not learning more sooner so he could have recommended me. There is hope.. Don't give up!! Stef
