DR.Boe said YES~now I wait for insur. Approval!!! UGGGGHHHHH

GOOD MORNING!!!! WOO HOOOO!!!!~Dr. Boe approved me, no problem!! GOOD ONE!!! Now the waiting game for me.......TIC TOC TIC TOC...He did say United Health Care was one of the quicker comp. to approve/deny....So...I just WAIT!!!!!!!!! Does any one know if I call UHC will they tell me anything and when should I call......I am soooo excited......Julie

Julie! I am right there with you! My surgeon gave me the okay and now it will be about a week! Its going to be a tough week isn't it???? Well..just know I am playing the waiting game too. I have bcbs/hmo ill. I hope they are just as quick as UHC is supposed to be...I mean aren't I the only one???? Thanks! xoxoxojenn

When you call an insurance company that you are covered under THEY HAVE TO TELL YOU WHAT YOUR BENEFITS ARE! They cannot keep the information from you, you are intitled to the information. Now, I will say that some of the reps with these companies do not always know what they are talking about so be an informed consumer and do your own research. Do you have a benefits coordinator at your work or with whom ever carries your policy? Most employers will hand out a benefits book from the insurance. I get one yearly from my employer and BCBS of IL.

Dr Boe's office took two weeks to get all my paper work to gether before they sent it off to my insurance. I called Dr. Boes office first to check out the date it got mailed. Then I called my insurance two weeks and one day after that. They told me they mailed me my approval yesterday. so I wouldn't call for about a month. my first appointment was dec 7th my operation was Feb 7th I took only two month total. i'm down 18 pounds in 18 days. daisy

Just wanted to say....Dr.Boe is the Best.I'm 3 mos out.I'm down 55lbs.and I would do it again(in a heartbeat!!!).I'm on 2 meds(reduced dosages).I'm down from 7 meds(before surgery).My PCP said depending on my lab work(2/21/05),I could be med-free by May(YAHOO!!!!)
